EX LIBRIS is a series of exhibitions organized by LambdaLambdaLambda at Burgverlag. For each iteration an artist from (or around) our program is invited to pick one printed matter from the inventory of the antiquarian shop, which will be highlighted in a vitrine along with an exhibition by the respective artist. For the first iteration (Chapter I) Tatjana Danneberg selected one item from the inventory which will be displayed along new works by the artist. Burgverlag Rare Books is a classical antiquarian bookshop established 1920 in Vienna (Austria). Burgverlag is specialised in selling rare books, incunabula, old prints, autographs and manuscripts. In an adjacent space exhibitions by contemporary artists are organised occasionally. Burgverlag Rare Books is a member of ILAB (International League of Antiquarian Booksellers).

Tatjana Danneberg (born in Vienna in 1991) is interested in photography as a snapshot, a temporal “cut-out” that is contradicted by the use of a subjective painterly gesture, questioning the integrity of images, their authenticity, and their relationship to reality.
